Dr. Slaughter is a Charlotte native whose family still resides in the area. Dr. Slaughter went to Providence High School and then on to Queens University, where she received a degree in Biology. Afterwards, Dr.Slaughter ventured down to Charleston, SC where she attended the Medical University of South Carolina where in she obtained her Doctor of Dental Medicine. Although having very much enjoyed living in Charleston, Charlotte is home home for Dr.Slaughter thus, she anxiously wanted to return to start practicing dentistry.

In her free time, Dr. Slaughter tends to stay very active doing activities such as bicycling and jogging with her little Boston Terrier, Gabe. She is also an avid reader and photographer. Proudly, Dr. Slaughter remains very active in her church and greatly enjoys doing volunteer work as a means to give back to the community she calls home. Professionally, Dr. Slaughter is an active member of the American Dental Society, the North Carolina Dental Society and the Charlotte Dental Society.
